Excited to announce that two years running the Flying Tigerz have placed very well and in the money at Flying Aces OLR. This is what we strive for, placing in the money with minimal bird entries . . . a sign of quality and consistency. This years accomplishment happened to fly in with a bird called “Fighting 44” in a fast but tough 350 mile race. The sire of Fighting 44 is Pachinko and the dam is Sweet Revenge. This blood is potent in the 350 and 400 miles YB races, so it is not surprising Fighting 44 hit at 350 miles. The first drop clocked in at 1602 ypm and the race clocked only 39 day birds. Fighting 44 ran through the trap taking 3rd place (eq 1st) losing to the first place bird by 1 second clocking time and he also took 6th place champion bird for the entire series. All in all, there were 9 birds on the drop followed by 2 close behind then almost 20 minutes before we saw birds again. Even when the day seems beautiful, it can be a tough race! The first group really had what it takes, congrats to those 9. Big thanks to the owner and handler of Flying Aces One Loft Race, Dale Golla, he uses the darkening system to put all of the birds in close to equal condition and does a great job handling the birds.
